There was uncertainty about whether it should fall under sub-heading 7403.19 or 7412.00. After examination, it has been determined that the grooved copper contact wire is more appropriately classified under sub-heading 7403.19, based on Chapter Note 1(ii) and 1(iv) of Chapter 74. Relevant trade parties should be informed of this decision.
