of <h1>Ministry of Finance affirms single Excise Gate Pass per consignment system u/r 52A; no changes planned.</h1> The circular from the Ministry of Finance, dated April 22, 1988, addresses requests from manufacturers for the issuance of multiple Excise Gate Passes under Rule 52A for small quantities within a single consignment. After consultation with the Collectors of Customs and Central Excise, it was determined that the current system, which issues one gate pass per consignment, is functioning effectively. Consequently, the Board has decided not to alter this system. The trade is to be informed accordingly.
