of <h1>Customs enables ex-bond Shipping Bill filing in ICES 1.5 for direct export of imported warehoused goods; one warehouse only</h1> A customs authority implemented an ICES 1.5 enhancement allowing filing of an ex-bond Shipping Bill to record export of warehoused goods under the Customs Act provisions for warehoused clearance. Exporters must declare warehouse code and specific BE item details; only one warehouse per Shipping Bill is permitted. The system will debit/credit ledger quantities on verification, cancellation or amendment. The ex-bond SB is limited to direct export of imported warehoused goods (not goods manufactured under bonded operations unless exported as imported), carries no export incentives and is a free SB. The notice is a standing order and trade associations should publicize it; implementation issues should be reported to customs export section.
