of <h1>Customs waives late-filing fees for Bills of Entry due to ICES downtime; applies to BEs and Section 48 approvals</h1> The customs authority waived late-filing fees for Bills of Entry filed belatedly due to ICES system downtime caused by Union Budget updates; the system was unavailable for BE filing and Section 48 approvals from 11:00 on 23.07.2024 until updates completed (service resumed 25.07.2024), while other ICEGATE services continued. The waiver applies to BEs relating to containers that arrived at the ICD from 22.07.2024 until completion of the ICES update. The Public Notice is issued as a standing order for departmental staff and stakeholders and requests reporting of any difficulties to the office.
