of <h1>Mandatory SDM and SDN filings from 04.08.2025 under Sea Cargo Manifest and Transshipment Regulations, 2018 for exports</h1> Authorities notify mandatory implementation of Sea Departure Manifest (SDM) and Sea Departure Notification (SDN) under the Sea Cargo Manifest and Transshipment Regulations, 2018 at the Chennai port from 04.08.2025, replacing the Export General Manifest (EGM) filing. Export incentives will be contingent on successful SDM/SDN filing. Trade stakeholders including carriers, agents, terminal operators, freight forwarders, importers, exporters and customs brokers must timely file these messages to ensure smooth migration; operational issues should be reported to the designated SCMTR cell at the port.
