Organic textile exports no longer need NAB-accredited Transaction Certificate at export under updated policy guidelines
Exports of organic textiles are no longer required to submit a Transaction Certificate from a NAB-accredited body at the time of export, as these products do not fall under the accreditation categories of the National Programme for Organic Production. Certification for organic textiles is recognized under international standards such as the Global Organic Textile Standard and Textile Exchange, where the Transaction Certificate is issued post-shipment based on export documents. Consequently, the relevant provision mandating the submission of the Transaction Certificate at export has been removed from the earlier policy circular. This clarification applies to all regional DGFT authorities, customs commissionerates, and trade members.
