New SIONs A-3690 to A-3692 Set Input Norms for Chemical Exports Under Foreign Trade Policy-2023
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has introduced three new Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) under the Chemical and Allied Product category, identified as A-3690, A-3691, and A-3692. These norms specify the input quantities required for producing one kilogram of the respective export products: Betamethasone Valerate requires 0.915 kg of Betamethasone, Ferrous Fumarate (under two different standards) requires 0.725 kg of Fumaric Acid or 0.65 kg of Maleic Anhydride. These additions are made under the authority of the Foreign Trade Policy-2023 and aim to standardize export-import input-output ratios for these chemical products.
