<h1>New Trade Facilitation Centre at Custom House offers direct support for customs queries and grievances daily</h1> A Trade Facilitation Centre (TFC) has been established at the Custom House in Chennai to assist importers, exporters, customs brokers, and other trade members with customs-related queries and grievances. Operating on all working days from 10 AM to 5:30 PM, the TFC serves as a single-window helpdesk for information, query resolution, and guidance. It complements existing services like ICEGATE Helpdesk and CBIC Saksham Seva by providing local, direct support via in-person visits, email, telephone, and soon online chat. Queries received are coordinated through TFC officers who liaise with relevant departments, limiting direct taxpayer contact with officials unless necessary. Records of interactions and feedback are maintained to improve service delivery. Trade members are encouraged to utilize the TFC for efficient resolution of customs-related issues.
