It specifies the number and placement of various officers and inspectors at different headquarters and units, including Air Intelligence Units in major cities. The Directors General of Income Tax (Investigation) are authorized to decide the stationing of these officers. Any excess posts should be redistributed within regions, and deviations require Board approval. These guidelines are effective from April 1, 2004, with compliance reports due by April 30, 2004.
