of <h1>DGIT (Systems) to Share Taxpayer Info with Telangana Agriculture Dept under Section 138(1)(a) of Income-tax Act 1961</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has designated the Director General of Income-tax (Systems), Delhi as the authority to provide information to the Agriculture Production Commissioner and Secretary of the Agriculture & Cooperation Department, Government of Telangana. This is under section 138(1)(a) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Telangana will provide Aadhar Numbers and PANs, and the DGIT (Systems) will respond with the taxpayer's status. The frequency and mode of information exchange will be determined by DGIT (Systems) in consultation with Telangana. An MoU will outline data transfer, confidentiality, and timelines, with a copy sent for record purposes.
