of <h1>Cigarette Packet Marking Exemption Announced: Rule 93(b)(i) Suspended from Oct 31 to Nov 30, 1989, per Notification 37/89-CE(NT.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has issued a circular exempting the requirement for marking wholesale or retail cigarette packets as per Rule 93(b)(i) from October 31, 1989, to November 30, 1989. This exemption applies if the marking complies with the pre-amendment version of Rule 93(b)(i) before October 31, 1989, according to Notification No. 37/89-CE(NT) dated August 16, 1989. Consequently, the notification will be effective from December 1, 1989.
