of <h1>Automation in Customs Rules: Manual Filing Allowed Until Jan 2025, Mandatory Online from Feb 2025, Excel Tool Available Soon.</h1> The circular addresses the implementation of automation in the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty or for Specified End Use) Rules, 2022. Importers facing difficulties with electronic filing of the IGCR-3 monthly statement are permitted to file manually with jurisdictional officers until January 31, 2025. From February 2025, online filing is mandatory. An Excel utility will be available by December 15, 2024, to assist with electronic filings for both current and past periods. Stakeholders are encouraged to use this tool. Any difficulties should be reported to the Assistant Commissioner of Customs for resolution.
