of <h1>Automation Begins for EOUs Under Customs Rules 2022; Register for IGCR Identification by Sept 2024 on ICEGATE Portal.</h1> The circular announces the implementation of automation in the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty or for Specified End Use) Rules, 2022, effective from September 17, 2024, for Export Oriented Units (EOUs) under Bengaluru City Customs. The transition from the 2017 procedures to the new IGCRS framework requires EOUs to register for an IGCR Identification Number (IIN) on the ICEGATE portal. Due to challenges faced in registration and bond submission, the implementation date was extended. The process involves prior intimation, bond registration, and filing a Bill of Entry to avail IGCR benefits.
