Public Notice No. 93/2023, issued by the Commissioner of Customs (Export) at the Air Cargo Complex in Mumbai, addresses defaulters related to non-realization of export proceeds. Demand cum Show Cause Notices have been sent to these entities for availing ineligible drawbacks, along with interest and penalties. Adjudication proceedings have commenced, with personal hearings scheduled for January 2024. Noticees must submit replies and attend hearings either in person or virtually. If a hearing is not required, a letter should be sent. Failure to respond will result in ex-parte decisions based on available records.
