of <h1>Customs waives penalties for late Bills of Entry filing due to storm disruptions in Tuticorin, December 17-22, 2023.</h1> The Customs Department has issued a public notice waiving penalties for the late filing of Bills of Entry due to disruptions caused by a cyclonic storm and heavy rain in Tuticorin. The adverse weather conditions, which began on December 17, 2023, led to power outages and internet connectivity issues, affecting the filing process through the ICEGATE System. The waiver applies to entries for vessels granted entry inwards at Tuticorin Seaport from December 17 to December 22, 2023. Any difficulties encountered should be reported to the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs in Tuticorin.
