of <h1>M/s Mili International fined Rs.1.95 crore under Customs Act for unpaid duty; goods may be seized to recover.</h1> M/s Mili International is required to pay a fine and penalty totaling Rs.1,95,00,373, including interest, as per a detention notice issued under Section 142 of the Customs Act, 1962. The company has not paid a duty of Rs.1,64,10,193 and applicable interest, as ordered on 23.05.2022 by the Assistant Commissioner of Customs. The Customs and Central Excise/GST officers are authorized to recover the amount by withholding payments or detaining and selling the company's goods. Recovered funds should be sent to the Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai, via demand draft.
