of <h1>Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations Amended: Mandatory Association Membership, Compliance Extensions Possible Under New Rule.</h1> The Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations 2018 have been amended as per Notification No. 52/2022-Customs (N.T) dated 24.06.2022. The amendments require each Customs Broker to join the Customs Broker's Association in every jurisdiction where they operate, provided such an association exists and is recognized by the relevant customs authority. A Customs Broker cannot be a member of more than one association in a single jurisdiction. Additionally, a new regulation allows the Board to grant extensions for compliance with duties or obligations if the broker or applicant demonstrates inability to meet deadlines due to uncontrollable circumstances. Customs Brokers in Mangaluru are advised to join the local association.
