of <h1>SEZ Units Exempt from IPA Import Restrictions Per Notification No. 64/2015-20; No DTA Sales Allowed.</h1> The circular clarifies the applicability of quantitative restrictions on the import of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) by Special Economic Zone (SEZ) units, following Notification No. 64/2015-20 dated March 31, 2023. After consulting with the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), it is determined that these restrictions, based on import trends affecting the domestic industry, do not apply to SEZ units. SEZ imports of IPA are exempt from country-wise quantitative restrictions, provided there is no sale of IPA in the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) by SEZ units. This clarification is issued with the approval of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
