of <h1>Customs Waives Late Filing and Demurrage Charges Due to Biparjoy Cyclone Disruptions at Kandla Ports, June 2023.</h1> The Commissioner of Customs at Kandla issued a public notice regarding the waiver of late filing, detention, and demurrage charges by Container Freight Stations, Port Terminals, and Shipping Lines due to the 'Biparjoy Cyclone.' The cyclone led to the evacuation of berths at Kandla, Tuna, and Jakhau, disrupting port operations and documentation processes from June 13 to June 19, 2023. Consequently, stakeholders are encouraged to favorably consider requests for waivers of charges during this period. Late fees for delayed filing of Bills of Entry are also waived for entries from June 14 to June 19, 2023, upon submission of supporting documents.
