of <h1>DGFT Reopens MEIS/SEIS Applications Pending Due to Jurisdiction Errors Under HBP Para 3.06; Personal Hearings Required.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has addressed pending applications under the MEIS/SEIS schemes, which have been discontinued since early 2021 and 2020, respectively. Applications filed in incorrect jurisdictions are pending due to deficiencies under Para 3.06 of the Handbook of Procedures (HBP) 2015-2020. The DGFT has decided that these applications should be re-opened and re-examined by the Regional Authorities (RAs) based on merit and any additional documents submitted. Applicants must be given a personal hearing before any rejection. Requests for application transfers currently at DGFT Headquarters are remanded back to the RAs for action.
