of <h1>Cooperative Milk Union Granted Temporary Permission to Store Skimmed Milk Powder, Relaxing Rule 47 of Excise Rules.</h1> The circular from the Central Board of Excise and Customs addresses the request by a cooperative milk producer's union for permission to store non-duty-paid skimmed milk powder outside factory premises, relaxing Rule 47 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944. The Board granted ex-post facto approval for this storage for three months, which expired on November 30, 1989. It also advised against the practice of granting such permissions first and then seeking retrospective approval from the Board in the future.
