of <h1>Board Approves New SEZs, LoA Extensions, and Tax Exemption on Cable Installation Labor Charges at 106th Meeting.</h1> The 106th meeting of the Board of Approval for Special Economic Zones (SEZs) was held on October 7, 2021, in New Delhi. The Board ratified the minutes of the previous meeting and addressed various requests, including extensions of Letters of Approval (LoA) for developers and units, co-developer status approvals, and changes in shareholding patterns. The Board approved the setup of new SEZs and ratified procurement of restricted items, subject to compliance with relevant laws. An appeal for exemption from tax on labor charges for cable installation was allowed. Miscellaneous proposals, such as changes in SEZ areas and industrial licenses, were also considered.
