of <h1>DGFT Launches New Online Module for SCOMET Export Authorization Applications Starting August 5, 2021.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has launched a new online module for filing electronic applications for export authorizations of SCOMET items, effective from August 5, 2021. This initiative is part of an IT revamp to streamline exporter/importer services. Exporters must submit applications for SCOMET items and related amendments online via the DGFT website. Existing pending applications will migrate to the new system. Additional online processes include site visit authorizations, production checks, and post-export reporting for specific cases. Technical support is available through the DGFT Helpdesk and other support channels.
