of <h1>Customs waives late filing charges for import cargo bills of entry due to COVID-19 delays starting March 20, 2020.</h1> The Customs Department, under the Ministry of Finance, has issued a public notice waiving late filing charges for bills of entry related to import cargo due to delays caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. This waiver applies to bills of entry linked to Import General Manifests (IGMs) filed on or after March 20, 2020. The decision aims to facilitate trade amid restrictions imposed under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, which limit public and vehicle movement. This measure will remain in effect until further notice, and any issues should be reported to the Commissioner of Customs.
