of <h1>New Procedure for Adding Documents to Bill of Entry via eSanchit and ICEGATE Outlined in Trade Notice No. 20/2020.</h1> Trade Notice No. 20/2020 outlines the procedure for adding or replying with additional documents to a Bill of Entry. Importers must first upload documents on eSanchit to generate IRN Numbers. An amendment to the Bill of Entry is then required, either through a Service Centre or ICEGATE, using specific message types and codes. This amendment is auto-approved unless it involves document deletion, which requires officer approval. When responding to Customs queries, the procedure must be followed to ensure officers can view the added documents. Any difficulties should be reported to the ICEGATE helpdesk.
