<h1>Mangaluru Customs Launches Special Drive to Expedite Refunds and Drawbacks for MSMEs; Exporters Must Act by November 2.</h1> The Commissioner of Customs in Mangaluru has issued a notice to expedite pending customs refund and drawback claims, particularly benefiting MSMEs during the COVID-19 crisis. A 'Special Refund and Drawback Disposal Drive' aims to process claims pending as of August 31, 2020. Exporters must respond to queries by November 2, 2020, or claims will be processed based on available records. Errors related to Export General Manifests (EGM) must be rectified promptly, or claims will be processed at zero rates. Shipping lines are responsible for correcting EGM errors within 48 hours. Non-compliance may lead to penalties under the Customs Act.
