CFSs must adhere to the Hazardous Waste Rules, 2009, and the Manufacture, Storage, and Import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989. The audit, conducted by a qualified safety auditor, should cover compliance with these guidelines and relevant regulations. The audit report must verify storage quantities, approval status, emergency plans, and prolonged storage issues. Reports are due in the first quarter of the current year. Any implementation difficulties should be reported to the Deputy or Assistant Commissioner.
