Mundra Port Updates Shipping Bill Examination Procedure to Reduce Discrimination and Costs; Prioritizes Scanning Operations.
The Customs Office at Mundra Port has amended the procedure for examining shipping bills selected by the system for detailed examination, addressing concerns of discrimination and increased logistics costs. The revised procedure mandates that Docks Officers strictly adhere to the Mandatory Examination Instructions without deviation. Only system-selected containers will be scanned, with priority given to scanning operations. Physical examinations will occur at designated facilities based on the export terminal. This amendment to Public Notice No.14/2018 is effective immediately, and relevant trade associations are urged to inform their members. Any difficulties should be reported to the Additional Commissioner (Docks).
