Central Board of Excise & Customs mandates sharing comments among Collectors to improve Zonal Conference discussions.

The Central Board of Excise & Customs has issued a procedure for holding Zonal Tariff-cum-General Conferences of Collectors of Central Excise. Previously, comments from Collectors other than the sponsoring Collector were not shared within the zone. The Board now mandates that these comments be circulated among all Collectors in the zone, with copies sent to the Principal Collector, relevant Director Generals, and the Chief Chemist. This aims to enhance the discussions by ensuring all perspectives are considered.
