of <h1>India Relaxes Veterinary Certificate Rule for Milk Imports Due to COVID-19; Applies to Shipments Loaded by April 30, 2020.</h1> The Indian Ministry of Finance's Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs issued Instruction No. 11/2020, mandating a veterinary certificate for importing milk and milk products, as per the Food Safety and Standards Regulations, 2011. Due to COVID-19-related challenges, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying has allowed a one-time relaxation for shipments loaded by April 30, 2020, provided they meet sanitary and hygienic standards. This measure aims to minimize financial losses and facilitate business operations. The circular is not to be used as a precedent for future imports. Field formations are instructed to implement these guidelines.
