of <h1>CBIC Extends Senior and Junior Standing Counsels' Terms for Indirect Tax Cases Until July 31, 2020, or New Panel.</h1> The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has extended the term of its existing panel of Senior and Junior Standing Counsels for handling indirect taxation cases before various High Courts and other forums. This extension is valid until July 31, 2020, or until a new panel is constituted, whichever occurs first. This decision follows previous communications and has been approved by the Finance Minister. The circular is addressed to all Chief Commissioners and Director Generals of Central GST, Central Excise, and Customs.
