<h1>Customs Circular: Provisional Assessment for China Imports Under APTA; Security Requirements Based on Importer Status.</h1> The circular from the Commissioner of Customs (NS-I) at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House addresses the provisional assessment of consignments from China claiming duty exemption under the Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement. Pending verification of Country of Origin certificates, goods will be released provisionally with adjusted security requirements. Authorized Economic Operators, status holders, and certain manufacturers and institutional importers have a 0% security requirement, while other importers of specified goods face a 25% requirement. All other importers must provide 100% security. Importers can choose between a Bank Guarantee or Revenue deposit and must replace Undertakings with Bonds by June 15, 2020.
