of <h1>Metallic Scrap Importers Can Use Scanned PSIC for Customs Until June 30, 2020; Submit Originals Within 60 Days.</h1> Importers of metallic scrap and waste are required to submit a Pre-shipment Inspection Certificate (PSIC) for customs clearance. Due to difficulties in providing original PSIC documents during the COVID-19 lockdown, a scanned copy uploaded on e-sanchit will be temporarily accepted until June 30, 2020. Importers must provide an undertaking to customs authorities and submit the original PSIC within 60 days of clearance. Any issues should be reported to the designated customs officials via email. This notice serves as a standing order for customs officers and staff.
