of <h1>Nationwide Automated Clearance for Bills of Entry Launched Across All Customs EDI Locations Starting March 5, 2020.</h1> The circular announces the nationwide implementation of automated clearance for Bills of Entry across all customs formations where the Customs EDI system is operational, effective from March 5, 2020. Initially piloted at Chennai and Jawaharlal Nehru Customs Houses, the facility is now extended to all ICES locations with a fully functional RMS. The automated process includes Customs Compliance Verification (CCV) by designated officers, even if duty payment is pending. Upon CCV completion and duty confirmation, electronic clearance is granted. Detailed requirements will be communicated via ICES-Advisory, and any issues should be reported to the commissioner.
