of <h1>Customs Bond Waiver Extended: Submit Undertaking by May 15, Bond by May 30 via e-sanchit.</h1> The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has extended the measures outlined in Circular No. 17/2020 to facilitate trade during the COVID-19 lockdown. Initially, the circular allowed an undertaking in lieu of a bond required for customs clearance until April 30, 2020. With the lockdown extended until May 3, 2020, this provision is now extended until May 15, 2020, with the deadline for submitting the proper bond moved to May 30, 2020. Undertakings must be submitted via registered email of the IEC holder or authorized Customs Broker and uploaded to e-sanchit, while other conditions remain unchanged.
