of <h1>Customs Bond Deadline Extended: Undertaking Accepted Until May 15, 2020, with Bond Due by May 30, 2020.</h1> The circular reviews and extends the measures initially outlined in Circular No. 17/2020 to facilitate trade during the COVID-19 lockdown. Importers, exporters, and customs brokers are informed that the acceptance of an undertaking in lieu of a bond for customs clearance, initially valid until April 30, 2020, is extended to May 15, 2020, with the submission deadline for the proper bond extended to May 30, 2020. Undertakings must be submitted via registered email or e-sanchit. All other conditions from the original circular remain unchanged, and any implementation difficulties should be reported to the Additional/Joint Commissioner.
