of <h1>Customs Extends Bill of Entry Filing Deadline to April 17, 2020, Due to COVID-19 Lockdown. Notify Members.</h1> The Principal Commissioner of Customs has issued a public notice amending a previous notice due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The amendment extends the deadline for filing Bills of Entry without incurring late fees for import consignments. Originally, the deadline was set for entries filed between March 21, 2020, and March 31, 2020, with a filing deadline of April 3, 2020. The new deadline extends to April 17, 2020. Trade associations and Customs Brokers are advised to inform their members, and any issues should be reported to the Additional Commissioner of Customs.
