of <h1>No Late Fees for Delayed Chinese Import Documents Due to COVID-19; Help Desk Established by Pune Customs.</h1> Due to delays in receiving import documents from China caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, import containers may be stranded at ports. To address this, the Customs Commissionerate in Pune has announced that late filing of Bills of Entry for consignments from China will not incur late fees if supported by a letter from the importer or Customs Broker citing document delays. A Help Desk has been established, led by the Deputy Commissioner (Technical), to facilitate the clearance process. Stakeholders are encouraged to report any issues to the office.
