of <h1>Mandatory Electronic Upload of Import Documents via eSANCHIT Platform from Dec 2, 2019: Streamlining Paperless Customs Process.</h1> The circular mandates the electronic uploading of specific supporting documents for every Bill of Entry (BOE) via the eSANCHIT platform, effective from December 2, 2019. Importers and customs brokers must submit invoices, packing lists, and transport contracts electronically, using designated document codes and Image Reference Numbers (IRNs). The initiative aims to ensure a paperless customs process by requiring all relevant documents, including certificates of origin and government permits, to be uploaded digitally, eliminating the need for physical copies. Any issues with this process should be reported to the Joint Commissioner (Systems) at the Chennai VII Commissionerate.
