of <h1>India Updates Foreign Trade Policy: EPCG Scheme Revised, Zero Duty EPCG & SHIS Extended, SFIS Import Rules Adjusted.</h1> The circular from the Government of India's Ministry of Finance outlines updates to the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2009-2014. Key changes include the introduction of a provision in the Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme for annual requirements and the extension of the Zero Duty EPCG Scheme and Status Holder Incentive Scheme (SHIS) until March 31, 2012. The Served From India Scheme (SFIS) now permits certain professional vehicles for import, while personal vehicles remain excluded. The Agri-Infrastructure Incentive Scrip can be transferred for cold chain equipment in recognized parks. Various duty exemptions and amendments to existing schemes are also detailed.
