of <h1>Penalty Waiver for Late Bills of Entry Filing Due to ICEGATE Outage from July 15-18, 2019 u/s 46.</h1> Due to the non-functioning of the ICEGATE System from July 15 to 18, 2019, importers, exporters, and customs brokers faced difficulties in timely filing Bills of Entry as required under Section 46 of the Customs Act, 1962. To facilitate trade, a general waiver of penalties for late filing is granted for consignments with Import General Manifest (IGM) filed between July 15 and 18, 2019, and Bills of Entry dated between July 16 and 19, 2019. Any further delays post-July 19 require evidence submission for consideration of waiver by the respective Deputy or Assistant Commissioners.
