of <h1>Customs Ahmedabad Seeks Chartered Engineers for Machinery Valuation; Apply by December 15, 2015, per CBEC Circular No. 4/2008-Cus.</h1> The Principal Commissioner of Customs, Ahmedabad, invites applications for empanelment of Chartered Engineers to evaluate second-hand machinery and goods. Eligible Chartered Engineers, affiliated with the Institution of Engineers (India), are required to submit applications by December 15, 2015. The empanelment, valid for one year, requires engineers to prepare valuation reports per CBEC Circular No. 4/2008-Cus, with preference for those with specialized expertise. Selected engineers will provide advisory certificates for importers, with fees borne by the importers. Misrepresentation may lead to disqualification and penalties. Applications must include all relevant certificates and are subject to interview-based selection.
