of <h1>Customs Must Use DIGIT System for Non-Compliance Cases; Mandatory for Show Cause Notices Starting April 2018.</h1> The circular from the Office of the Commissioner of Exports mandates the use of the DIGIT system, developed by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, for Customs formations to digitally record and manage information on non-compliance cases. The DIGIT system enables the generation of automatic reports and the uploading of documents and images related to cases. All relevant data must be entered into the system by the end of the month in which a case occurs. Starting April 1, 2018, no Show Cause Notices or Orders will be issued without a DIGIT number. Compliance is mandatory, and deviations will be taken seriously.
