of <h1>Customs Launches eSANCHIT Pilot for Paperless Export Processing in New Delhi, Mandatory After 15 Days.</h1> The Customs Department announced a pilot program for paperless processing of export documents using the eSANCHIT system at the Air Cargo Complex in New Delhi. The initiative aims to reduce physical interactions and expedite export clearance by allowing digital uploads of supporting documents. Initially voluntary, the system will become mandatory after a 15-day review period. Authorized users can upload documents via ICEGATE, link them to Shipping Bills, and respond to Customs queries online. The pilot includes digital signatures for electronic documents and will eventually extend to all ICES locations. Users must retain original documents for five years.
