of <h1>Sea Cargo Regulations 2018 Effective Aug 1, 2019: Stakeholders Must Apply via ICEGATE Portal for Compliance.</h1> The Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment Regulations, 2018, will be effective from August 1, 2019. Stakeholders, including Shipping Lines, Custodians, and Exporters using e-Seal facilities, must file applications to operate under these regulations. Applications, including details of authorized personnel and supporting documents, should be submitted via the ICEGATE web portal. The process involves approval by jurisdictional Customs officers using a newly created role in ICES. Guidance on the application process is available online. Stakeholders are advised to register on ICEGATE, and any implementation issues should be reported to the Principal Commissioner of Customs.
