of <h1>Indian Customs EDI System Launches at Dappar ICD to Boost Efficiency in Import/Export Processing from March 18, 2019.</h1> The Indian Customs EDI System (ICES 1.5) for imports and exports will be launched at the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Dappar, Punjab, from March 18, 2019. The system aims to streamline and automate the processing of Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills, enhancing efficiency and transparency in customs operations. Exporters, importers, and related stakeholders must ensure compliance with pre-requisites like IE-Code registration and document submission. The system, developed by NIC and integrated by TCS, will facilitate electronic data interchange and connectivity with the National Data Centre. Punjab National Bank is designated for duty collections and disbursements.
