of <h1>Mandatory Changes for Importers: Declare Standard Unit Quantity Code in Bills of Entry from Feb 18, 2019.</h1> Attention is drawn to importers, exporters, custom brokers, and stakeholders regarding mandatory changes in filing Bills of Entry in ICES for imported goods clearance. Effective February 18, 2019, the declaration of Standard Unit Quantity Code (SQC) is required alongside commercial UQC in the Single Window System. This change is crucial for data quality and quantity-based validations. The Info_Type in the Single Window Table is CHR, and Info_QFR is SQC for all CTHs, with the actual SQC validated against the Tariff Code directory. Stakeholders are advised to comply with these requirements to ensure accurate submissions. Issues can be addressed to the Assistant Commissioner of Appraising-Import.
