of <h1>CBEC Launches Indian Customs Single Window Project for Streamlined Trade Processes, Full Implementation by April 2016.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) is implementing the Indian Customs Single Window Project to streamline trade processes. This initiative allows importers and exporters to electronically submit customs clearance documents at a single point, reducing the need for separate interactions with various Partner Government Agencies (PGAs). The Integrated Declaration consolidates information required for import clearance, reducing data fields by 60% and replacing multiple forms. The system supports risk-based inspections and simultaneous processing by PGAs and Customs. The project is being rolled out at major ports and airports, with full implementation scheduled for April 1, 2016. Training sessions are planned for stakeholders.
