<h1>IBBI Approves MCA 21 and CERSAI as Statutory Repositories for Default Info Under Regulation 21(2)(c)(ii.</h1> The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) issued a circular approving the MCA 21 database of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Central Registry of Securitisation Asset Reconstruction and Security Interest of India (CERSAI) as statutory repositories under regulation 21(2)(c)(ii) of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Information Utilities) Regulations, 2017. This regulation requires information utilities to authenticate and verify default information, delivering it to the debtor through various means if not registered with the utility. This approval is made under the authority of section 196 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
