E-Payment Guidelines for Refund Claims: One-Time Bank Authorization Required for NEFT/RTGS Transfers by Central Board of Excise Customs.
The Central Board of Excise Customs has implemented guidelines to facilitate e-payment of refund/rebate claims to promote ease of doing business. Claimants must provide a one-time bank authorization for e-payments. The refund sanctioning authority will forward details of sanctioned orders to authorized banks, which will then transfer funds to claimants' accounts via NEFT/RTGS. A Unique Transaction Reference (UTR) will be generated for each transfer, aiding reconciliation. For new claims, claimants must submit authorization with a canceled cheque. Pending claims require immediate authorization. Authorized banks for processing include specified branches of the State Bank of India in Bengaluru.
